Pflugerville City Council Meeting To Be Onlne Amid Coronavirus

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — This week's regular city council meeting will be virtual in adherence to provisions related to physical distancing amid new coronavirus, officials said on Monday.

The next council meeting is scheduled on Thursday, April 2, at 5 p.m. to allow its members to consider postponement of the May 2 bond election.

The remote nature of the meeting is attributable to a Travis County order for residents to stay home to mitigate the spread of illness by contact. As a result, City Hall will be empty, and residents are encouraged to watch online.

Both the meeting agenda and agenda packet, are posted online at https://pflugerville.legistar.com.

The telephone and video meeting will be hosted through WebEx, accessible here: https://pflugervilletx.webex.com/pflugervilletx/onstage/g.php?MTID=e22fb0692aae1e50e00d51eeef179c59f. The access code is 968 524 101.

Residents can also dial in to be in a listen-only mode for the meeting by calling this toll number 1-408-418-9388.

Public comment will only be allowed via telephone or video conference via WebEx. All speakers must register to speak at least two hours in advance of the meeting. All public comment will occur at the beginning of the meeting under the public comment item. Speakers must call in at least 15 minutes prior to the meeting start in order to speak. Written comments may also be submitted two hours in advance of the meeting. To register to speak or to submit written comments, please email mailto:citysecretary@pflugervilletx.gov.

An audio recording of the virtual meeting will be made, and will be available to the public in accordance with the Open Meetings Act upon written request.

The city has set up www.pflugervilletx.gov/virtualmeetings to provide instructions on how to both view and submit public comment for the meeting and navigate the virtual event. The meeting will also stream on www.pflugervilletx.gov/pftv and the city’s public access Channel 17.
