Pflugerville Closes More City Functions Amid Coronavirus

As a way of practicing 'social distancing' given the growing threat of COVID-19, the city adds to the list of sites closed since March 16.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Starting on Wednesday, Pflugerville will close public access to city functions — utility billing, records and development services among them — as a way of practicing "social distancing" amid the growing new coronavirus threat, officials said.

The March 18 closures at City Hall, the Justice Center and other sites will enable staff to focus on municipal operations, the city said in a prepared statement. The closures will be in effect until March 31, according to a press advisory.

The closures are in addition to sites previously blocked from the public on March 16, including Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services, Pflugerville Recreation Center, Pflugerville Public Library, Municipal Court and the Recycle Center.
