Pflugerville Community Development Corp. Makes Key Appointment

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) has appointed Jerry Briones as business recruitment director, officials said Friday.

The appointment was made during a May 17 PCDC Board of Directors regular meeting, according to a press advisory.

“Jerry Briones comes to us with a great combination of professionalism, integrity, interpersonal skills and economic development experience that makes him an excellent fit for the job," PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said in a prepared statement. "We are also very proud to be hiring a veteran and adding a former Marine Sergeant to our team.”

In his new role, Briones is responsible for enhancing and supporting the recruitment effort and will also assist local business retention and expansion efforts as needed, Madison explained.

“This is a great opportunity to join an outstanding team of economic development professionals and to focus my talents and skills on driving capital investment to this fast-growth community,” Briones said in a prepared statement.

A Brownsville native, Briones relocated to Pflugerville this month and will be joined by his wife, a son and a daughter in the next few weeks. He previously worked as the Brownsville Economic Development Council Director of Global Outreach and Development.

In Brownsville, Briones was an active member of the Brownsville Nite Lions, City of Brownsville Urban System Board of Directors, past president of the Good Neighbor Settlement Home, past board member of the Brownsville Boys and Girls Club, past board member of the United Way of Southern Cameron County, and other community organizations.
