Pflugerville Council To Consider Rezoning Case

Plans call for rezoning 150 acres from agriculture to a use more conducive to neighborhood living.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A public hearing is scheduled later this month to consider rezoning some 150 acres of land from agriculture to a use more geared to neighborhood development.

Pflugerville City Council members are considering rezoning the acreage at the Sefrin Eiselin Survey currently zoned Agricluture/Development Reserve to an Urban (Level 4: CL4) district. The effort is dubbed the Timmerman 2020 Rezoning.

According to the Pflugerville Unified Development Code, the Urban (Level 4: CL4) district is intended to create "...vibrant and walkable neighborhoods and employment centers along the SH 130 and SH 45 corridors." The scale of structures in the Urban district is greater than found in the Suburban district and density sufficient to support a range of housing types, according to the code verbiage.
