Pflugerville ISD Elections: One Incumbent Wins, Another Loses [UPDATED]
Vernagene Mott wins in a close one, but Mario Acosta loses by a sizable, 14-percentage-point margin.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- In the Pflugervile ISD elections on Saturday, one incumbent retained her seat while another was handily defeated by a newcomer.
Vernagene Mott won a majority of the vote in vanquishing opponent Matt Robertson. In the end, Mott garnered 54 percent of the vote (1,753 votes) to Robertson's 46 percent (1,491 votes).
The other incumbent, Mario Acosta, lost his bid to stay on the board in losing to Renae Mitchell by 14 percentage points. Acosta secured 43 percent of the vote (1,419 votes) while Mitchell got 57 percent (1,914).

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- In early voting results for the Pflugerville ISD elections, Vernagene Mott is ahead of challenger Matt Robertson while Renae Mitchell is well ahead of incumbent Mario Acosta, according to a published report.
The Pflugerville Pflag newspaper has tallied early voting results in the race, showing one incumbent leading handily and another incumbent losing by a good margin:
Mott vs. Robertson:
Mott: 1,049 votes (54.75 percent)
Robertson: 867 votes (45.25 percent)
Mitchell vs. Acosta:
Mitchell: 1,096 votes (55.83 percent)
Acosta: 867 votes (44.17 percent)
