Pflugerville ISD Schools Participating In USDA's Summer Free Meals Program

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Pflugerville ISD will participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture summer meals program, offering those 18 and under free food on campus starting in June. .

Those availing themselves of free meals don't have to be registered with the district or verify their age, residence or income. Visitors will be directed to sign in at participating schools' front desk.
Participating Pflugerville ISD schools, with the dates and times of meal service are:

• Brookhollow Elementary School, June 2 to Aug. 18; lunch served from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
• Dearing Elementary School, June 5 to Aug. 18; lunch served from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
• Dessau Elementary School, June 6 to 21; lunch served from noon to 12:30 p.m.
• Delco Primary School, June 6 to 29, lunch is served from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m.
• Pflugerville Elementary School, June 12 to 29 and July 17 to Aug. 3; lunch served from 12:30 to 1 p.m

• Pflugerville Middle School, June 6 to 21; lunch served from 11 am. to 11:30 a.m.
• Pflugerville High School, June 7 to 27 and July 10 to 28; lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
• Wieland Elementary School, June 2 to Aug. 18; lunch served from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session, according to information on the USDA website. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals to children 18 years and under at approved SFSP sites.
