Pflugerville Justice Center 'Open House' Scheduled For Saturday [VIDEO]

The event provides tours of many city functions, and also gives parents a chance to register kids' fingerprints for Child ID program.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- City officials have scheduled a Justice Center open house this Saturday, during which residents can become acquainted with their local police and register their kids' fingerprints.

The event is scheduled Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pflugerville Justice Center, 1611 E. Pfennig Lane.

At the Sept. 10 event, residents can learn more about their local police department and records. Also, parents can take advantage of the Child ID fingerprint safeguard for their families, a useful tool for locating missing children.

Children learn more about the work of their neighborhood police.
Those attending the open house also can enjoy a tour of the police fleet; 911 dispatch center; the Justice Center; the CID (criminal investigation division); incarceration areas; patrol division; volunteers center; code enforcement; victim services; and more.

"Check out the Motorcycle Division and the Canine Division and don't forget McGruff and the fingerprinting station!" officials beckon on the municipal website. "Prepare yourself for a fun-filled,learning experience for all ages."
