Pflugerville Launches Wikimap For Residents' Feedback
Feature enables residents to provide feedback on areas of congestion, increased intermodal options, maintenance and safety recommendations.

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — City officials have launched an interactive wikimap enabling residents to provide feedback on areas of congestion, increased intermodal options, maintenance and safety recommendations, officials said Friday.
“The first step in that process is to get a lot of people to tell us about their experiences traveling around town,” Interim Public Works Director Chad Wood said in a prepared statement. “This is the public’s chance to tell us directly where they want us to focus our attention and let us know of the areas you drive and travel through every day that may need extra attention when it comes to traffic flow and safety. By logging in to the wiki tool, residents can provide feedback electronically to the city. The city is also planning a series of open houses to get additional one-on-one feedback from residents.”
The interactive map has a quick introductory survey to help direct residents on using the tool. Next, residents are encouraged to enter an email address to be connected to the process and have the ability to log back in and update recommendations over the course of the next few months. Users have the ability to place various icons or draw different colored lines wherever new roadway connections, widenings, turn lanes, stop signs, traffic signals, and other various roadway improvements are needed. To make it as interactive as possible, residents are not limited to identifying issues only in the city limits or required to submit all ideas in one sitting.

The survey will remain live and online now through June, city officials said. The first open house on the project is scheduled to take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 30 at the Pflugerville Public Library. Once the received data is compiled, another open house will take place toward the end of summer.
