Pflugerville Library Evacuated For Second Time In Two Weeks
This time, it was a burning smell that prompted officials to clear the building of patrons and staff.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- The Pflugerville library was evacuated for the second time in two weeks, this time for a burning smell.
On Wednesday afternoon, patrons and staff were let out of the facility after the odor of something burning was detected in the facility. By about ten minutes later at 3:35 p.m., the firefighters climbed onto the roof and found the source of the smell: A belt on the air conditioner unit had come loose and melted, causing the odor.
Guests were subsequently allowed back in shortly thereafter.

It's the second time in just under two weeks the library has been cleared of patrons and staff. On March 18, the facility was evacuated after a gas leak was detected.
People were cleared of the building on that occasion as well while utility officials looked for the source of the leak. About an hour later after that odor was detected, patrons were allowed back in by 11:24 a.m.
