Pflugerville Library Offers Wide Range Of Board Games Each Sunday For Kiddos
Rotating sets of board games yield an engaging activity for bored kiddos on their summer break, from Candy Land to Settlers of Catan.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Looking for something for the kids to do over the long summer break? You might want to consider the library—not for books but for fun and games.
While we don't condone ignoring the books, we suppose kids can be given a reprieve from them over the summer. Instead, we're talking board games to keep them entertained.
Library patrons can borrow board games to play at the library every Sunday afternoon, officials at the Pflugerville library said. A wide range of such games, from Candy Land to Settlers of Catan, can be had for hours of enjoyment with their peers.

It gets better: Board games are rotated each week. If there is a particular game someone wants to play, they can email amandac@pflugervilletx.gov by Thursday with the specialied request.
While we don't condone dropping off children wantonly to render library staff as de facto babysitters, this could yield an opportunity for harried parents to take a load off with a good book while still keeping a watchful eye over their kids. We stress that the library advisory on the games didn't suggest this, but we're just saying because we feel your pain.
