Pflugerville New Year Event 'Pfreeze Pflop' 2017

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Welcome the new year wet and "pfreezing" this year in the Pflugerville Pfreeze Pflop at the Scott Mentzer Pool on New Year's Day.

Participants must line up by 10 a.m. and the event will go until everybody's plunged into the pool. In case you were wondering, the pool, at 901 Old Austin Hutto Rd., isn't heated.

The first 50 people to make the plunge will get a free T-shirt.

Admission is free with a donation of a canned food item, which will go to benefit local food banks (or pfood banks, as the event website says).
