Pflugerville PD Lauded For Community Service

Police personnel were honored for their response to emergencies during 36th annual banquet ceremony that took place in Austin.

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — The Pflugerville Police Department recently was honored for its work.

The 100 Club of Central Texas feted the department during the 36th annual awards banquet in Austin on Saturday, April 6. Dispatch Supervisor Belinda Alexander and Senior Dispatcher Mitchum Chauvin received the Outstanding Emergency Communications Operator award for their outstanding skills in victim and officer support during emergencies. The Pflugerville Police Department received the Outstanding Team award alongside surrounding local law enforcement agencies for cooperation in emergency response.

Moreover, the Pflugerville Police Department was also recognized for its philanthropic work on Camryn’s Relentless Battle with the Guardian Angel award.

As part of the police department’s ongoing partnership with the 100 Club of Central Texas, officers will be behind the counter at Pflugerville McDonald’s restaurants participating in the 18th Annual Good Friday Fundraiser. The event is scheduled on Friday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.During this time, visitors can interact with local law enforcement and a percentage of sales from participating McDonald’s will be donated to the 100 Club.

The 100 Club of Central Texas is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial and emotional assistance to the families of first responders killed or critically injured in the line of duty. The club funds grants, scholarships and other programs that give much needed assistance.
