Pflugerville Pfarmers Market Scheduled

Vendors offer locally grown and prepared food, crafts.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- Officials at Pflugerville—a city named after its German founder’s surname with a silent “p’ sound—enjoy employing wordplay in naming their community events. Enter the Pflugerville Pfarmers Market, the latest version of the event scheduled to take place Tuesday.

The local farmer’s…er…pfarmer’s market brings fresh, locally grown and prepared food to the community each Tuesday —beans; garlic; grapes; cucumbers; eggs; flowers; garlic; honey; jams; melons; okra; peaches; pickles; salsas; squash; tomatoes; and more. Locally made crafts also are on hand, with occasional live music to enliven the scene.

Cash is preferred in making purchases, but some vendors accept credit card purchase and others accept WiC vouchers. The cornucopia is accessible via the hike and bike trail at Green park Heritage Park at 901 Old Austin-Hutto Rd, and the event runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Entry is free of charge, with the Green Red Barn staging area offering free paved parking with handicapped access.
