Pflugerville Pfestival of Lights and Parade Cancelled Due To Looming Thunderstorms

But there are plenty of other holiday activities to enjoy, including Heritage House offerings and Holiday Stroll and Sidewalk Sale.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Well, pfhooey. City of Pflugerville officials have cancelled the Christmas parade and Pfestival of Lights due to the threat of inclement weather — the first time in 20 years the family event has been cancelled.

Heavy rainfall is being predicted for Saturday, prompting cancellation of the event. City officials said the Pflugerville Downtown Association's Holiday Stroll and Sidewalk Sale will go on as scheduled on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Heritage House also will still hold its annual holiday event scheduled Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., city officials said. The museum is located at 901 Old Austin Hutto Rd. There, you'll find a display of old-fashioned toys provided by Toy Time and community donors. Also, the kiddos will be able to get their photos taken with Santa. The Pflugerville Quilt Guild also will have their handiwork on display and for sale.
