Pflugerville Police Arrest Accused Sunglasses Thief (Video)
Torina Gutierrez, 40, was seen on store surveillance footage putting the expensive eye wear inside her purse without paying for them.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Police on Friday said they arrested a woman seen on store surveillance cameras stealing expensive sunglasses from a store.
Torina Gutierrez, 40, was arrested after being located, police said. She has been charged with one count of theft, a state jail felony.
On April 25, Gutierrez was seen on camera putting expensive sunglasses from Stone Hill Optical, 1512 Town Center Dr., into her purse without paying for them. The woman was accused of taking three pairs of Versace sunglasses valued at more than $900.

Earlier, police released the footage in the hopes members of the public might recognize her and alert police. It appears the tactic paid off, judging from a police shout-out to the citizenry: "A special thanks to the citizens who provided tips on this case."
