Pflugerville Police Department Welcomes 'Love With Lemons'

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Pflugerville Police Department will welcome Love with Lemons on Thursday.

For the uninitiated, the Love with Lemons initiative was created by 6-year-old Theresa Ann in 2016 when she heard about officers dying in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The girl asked her parents if she could start a lemonade stand to raise money for the fallen officers' families — an effort that has raised more than $10,000 for injured officers and their families, Toys for Tots and children's hospitals across the U.S.

This year, as Theresa travels through Texas for two weeks, her lemonade stand will raise money for the Injured Police Officer Fund of Southern Nevada. The lemonade stand will be installed locally at the Pflugerville Justice Center, 1611 Pfennig Lane, on Thursday, July 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Officials noted that as she continues to find ways to give back, Theresa Ann has started participating in fallen warrior runs in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

"We would like to invite you to come join us in her run around the Justice Center is commemoration of fallen officers before her lemonade stand opens," local officials wrote to residents in their press advisory. The run will begin at 12:15 pm, before the lemonade stand opens.
