Pflugerville Police Reward Kids' 'Cool Moves'
Starting on June 18 through August, police will be on the lookout for children practicing safety to reward them with ice cream.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Police will be on the lookout for kids out in public through the summer, not to issue citations but to reward them for safe behavior.
The Pflugerville Police Department’s Cool Moves program rewards children for being safe over the summer. Starting Monday, June 18 through Friday, Aug. 31, the police department will be on the lookout for children showing Cool Moves. Youth caught by the police looking both ways before crossing the street, wearing a helmet while riding a bike and walking their bicycle across crosswalks can be rewarded with a ticket for a free ice cream cone.
When spotted doing a Cool Move, children are given a ticket by the police officer. The ticket offers a free ice cream cone from participating partners. This year the program is supported with free ice cream cones from Chick-fil-A, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, McDonald’s, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Baskin-Robbins, Andy’s Frozen Custard and Zaxby’s.
