Pflugerville Schedules Public Hearings On Key Annexations, Rezonings
City officials also plan to detail proposed use of federal Community Development Block Grant funds.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- City officials have scheduled several upcoming public hearings on issues related to land annexation, rezoning and discussions on use of Community Development Block Grant funds, to which residents are invited.
The public hearings will take place on June 28. For some of these issues, next week's hearing will be the second one during which the matters have been addressed since June 14.
- A rezoning of about 4.6 acres of land in the E. Bebee survey No. 5, located along the south side of Black Locust will be considered at 7 p.m. The area in question is generally located northwest of the Black Locust and Pfennig Lane intersection from the neighborhood services district to the single family mixed use district. It's dubbed the KP Brothers Home rezoning, and will call for the repeal of conflicting ordinances.
- Another part of the city will be targeted for rezoning, some .538 acres in the Springbrook Centre at 208 Grand Avenue Parkway. The proposed zoning change is from agriculture/conservation to neighborhood services district.
- City officials are scheduled to present the 2015 Amended Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and to request feedback from the community regarding the proposed plan. The CDBG program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled communities, such as Pflugerville, to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income individuals.
- In a related discussion, city officials will present the 2016 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and to request feedback from the community regarding the proposed plan.
- A planned land annexation will be discussed, centered on property owned by the Pflugerville ISD and New Life Baptist church. The land in question is a tract of about 148 acres of land from the J.P. Kempe Survey and another 40 acres in the J. Zambrano Survey. Generally speaking, the land is at the intersection of Hodde Lane and Cele Road.
- A smaller annexation will be discussed of property owned by the Pflugerville ISD, centering on 97.5-acre tract from the Andrew Austin 960 Survey. The land is located along Cameron Road/Fuchs Grove, north of Jesse Bohls Road. It's being dubbed the PFISD Cameron Road/Fuchs Grove Trace Annexation.
The public hearings are scheduled Jan. 28 at City Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. City Hall is located at 100 E. Main St., Suite 500.
