Pflugerville School District to Break Ground on Two Projects

Projects for a new elementary school and district stadium will start Nov. 10

The Pflugerville school district is getting ready to launch new construction projects.

Ground breaking ceremonies will be held Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m. for the new Timmerman Elementary School and a new district athletic stadium, according to a press release from the district.

Timmerman Elementary School was first opened in 1987 and is the school districts oldest campus. It’ s located on 700 West Pecan St. The new campus will have an art room, science lab, gym and library for Pre-K to 5th grade students.

The new district stadium will host various regional and state competitions, district-wide activities and community events. The stadium is expected to open in Fall 2016 and the new Timmerman Elementary School will open its doors in January 2017.

“The current Timmerman Elementary School has served the district well for many years, and we are excited to provide one of the most historic portions of our community with an updated facility to continue the wonderful learning for which Timmerman is known,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alex Torrez said in the press release. “Additionally, the district stadium will provide a venue for our growing district to host a variety of athletic and fine arts events and showcase our great students.”
