Pflugerville Seeks Community Development Block Grant Input

City council members have scheduled public hearings to secure feedback from residents related to grant allocations for low-income projects.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Pflugerville City Council has scheduled public hearings to receive input from community members as it relates to Community Development Block Grant disbursal.

City officials hope to secure feedback on the CDBG Program Consolidated Plan and Action Plan. These forums provide citizens an opportunity to participate in an advisory role in the planning, implementation, and assessment of the programs and projects, officials explained in an emailed advisory.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities, such as Pflugerville, "...to assist in developing viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low and moderate-income persons," officials explained.
