Pflugerville Welcomes New Assistant City Manager

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The city welcomed Amy Giannini as assistant city manager on Monday ahead of her first day at month's end.

Giannini is an experienced civil servant with service in local government since 2010. She is a licensed Civil Engineer with 14 years of progressive experience in both the public and private engineering sectors with previous service with the City of Pflugerville for more than nine years in several positions including city engineer.

The breadth of her experience runs the gamut from operations, strategic planning, budgeting, resource management, project management and fiscal leadership. During her career, Giannini has successfully led engineering teams in municipal government delivering efficient, effective and fiscally responsible services relating to water, wastewater and transportation projects, officials said in a press advisory.

Giannini earned a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a certified floodplain manager and member of Texas Floodplain Management Association.

As an Assistant City Manager, she will oversee the operations of Public Works and Engineering to include fleet, wastewater, water, capital improvement projects, and streets. Giannini joins the city starting March 30.
