Police ID Man Accused Of Robbing North Austin Bank Branch
Lyndel Wade Smith was found at a bus stop with money that was taken from the Wells Fargo branch at 10900 Research Blvd.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Thursday identified the man accused of robbing a North Austin bank the day before.
Lyndel Wade Smith, is accused of entering the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 10900 Research Blvd. Wednesday afternoon at around 4:25 p.m. before making threatening statements to a teller in securing an undisclosed amount of cash. Initially, Smith is alleged to have tried robbing an adjacent Randalls store pharmacy before moving on to the bank.
Police quickly found Smith at a bus stop, and the stolen cash was recovered. he's now at the Travis County Jail charged with robbery by threat, a second-degree felony. There were no injuries reported.

The incident marks the eighth bank robbery so far this year in Austin. Police detectives don't believe Smith is connected to any of the other unsolved robberies that have occurred in the city in recent weeks.
