Police ID Man Fatally Stabbed In North Austin
Pedro Calcalel, 49, was found with multiple stab wounds at the Villas of Quail Creek apartment complex on Sunday before he died.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — Police on Tuesday identified the man who was fatally stabbed at a North Austin apartment complex on Sunday.
The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. on Jan. 20 at the Villas of Quail Creek apartment complex, 9036 N. Lamar Blvd. There, police found Pedro Calcalel, 49, with multiple stab wounds. Medics rushed Calcalel to Dell Seton Medical Center where he underwent surgery but succumed to his injuries the next day at 6:45 a.m., police said.
Detectives believe the motive was robbery. Several witnesses at the scene told police multiple male suspects fled the scene after an altercation with Calcalel.
