Police ID Pedestrian Killed Along Interstate 35
Jeanny Nuñez-Noguera, 42, was on right lane of 11400 block of North I-35 northbound when he was struck by a vehicle in the early morning.
AUSTIN, TX — Police on Tuesday identified the pedestrian who was killed trying to cross Interstate 35 last week.
The incident occurred along the 11400 block of North Interstate 35 northbound at around 1:40 a.m. Police say Jeanny Nuñez-Noguera, 42, was in the right lane of the highway when he was struck by a red, 2016 Honda Civic.
Police noted the driver stayed on the scene to cooperate with a police investigation, and no charges are expected to be filed.

The incident marked Austin’s 57th fatal traffic crash of 2019, resulting in 59 fatalities this year. At this time in 2018, police added, there were 50 fatal traffic crashes and 51 traffic fatalities.
