Police ID Pedestrian Who Died After Being Struck By Car In North Austin
Christin Razo, 35, was hit while attempting to cross the highway at the 50 block of I-35 early Saturday morning.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police on Monday identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle this past Saturday.
Christin Razo, 35, was struck at the 50 block of Interstate 35 at 2:07 a.m. on Saturday, police said. A preliminary investigation indicates a silver Mazda sedan was traveling northbound in the left lane when a pedestrian crossed the highway.
The man was dead at the scene by the time police arrived.

Police said the driver of the Mazda stayed at the scene, and toxicology results are pending to determine if alcohol played a role in the fatality.

The fatality is the 41st traffic-related death so far this year, police noted. At the same point in 2015, there had been 63 traffic fatalities.
