Police Investigating North Austin Hit-And-Run As Homicide
A disturbance had occurred just prior to a woman being hit with a car, police said.

northNORTH AUSTIN, TX --
NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police are investigating a hit-and-run early Wednesday that left a woman dead as a homicide.
Austin-Travis County EMS were called to the scene of the crash in the 5300 block of service road at North Interstate 35 at around 1:30 a.m. Police said some sort of disturbance had occurred in a parking lot of a nearby McDonald's restaurant shortly before the incident.

The woman in her 40s was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge for treatment of life-threatening injuries after being run over. She was pronounced dead at around 2:45 a.m., police said.
