Police Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect

Police are searching for a suspect who committed an armed robbery Wednesday night.

The robbery occurred around 8:20 p.m. at the Lakeline Mall near Highway 183. The robber entered a HomeGoods store, brandished a firearm and demanded cash, police said in a news release.

Police are now seeking the public’s assistant in identifying the suspect, described as a six-foot-tall white male weighing about 180 pounds. The suspect escaped the scene shortly after entering the store. In a search for the man, officials used both K9 units and a police helicopter, reported KEYE.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a camouflage mask over his face, and black pants with black shoes, police said.

The suspect, while armed, did not discharge his weapon during the robbery. One store employee was injured durign the robbery after the suspect struck the employee with his firearm.
