Police Seek North Austin Hit-And-Run Driver

Officials release surveillance camera images showing truck involved in fatal collision in the early morning hours Oct. 16.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in locating a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision at a North Austin shopping center last month.

The incident occurred Oct. 16 at around 3 a.m. in the Capital Plaza shopping center, 5600 N. Interstate 35. Police described the vehicle as a newer (possibly 2016-19) silver-colored Ford 250 or F350 dual pickup truck. Police released photos of the vehicle in the hopes someone might recognize the truck and alert detectives.

Police provided no further details, including a description of the victim. "At this time, we are not providing interviews or further information about this incident," officials wrote in a press advisory.
