Missing Austin Teen Found Safe (Updated)
John Campau, 15, was found safe after going missing from his home along the 12000 block of Sunderland Drive on Wednesday morning.

UPDATE: Police said a teenager who had been reported missing on Wednesday was ultimately found safe. John Campau, 15, had last been seen at his North Austin home along the 12000 block of Sunderland Drive on Wednesday morning, sparking off a frantic search. However, police reported that the boy was found safe by early afternoon.

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing boy last seen at his home on Wednesday morning.

John Campau, 15, was last seen at 8 a.m. in the 12000 block of Sunderland Drive, according to police. He's known to frequent the HEB store at Parmer Lane/Interstate 35 and the Sonic at Parmer/Yager Lane.
The teen, who wears glasses, was last seen wearing a purple polo shirt and khaki pants. He is believed to be accompanied by his dog.

Anyone who sees Campau is asked to call 911 immediately. Law enforcement officials on Twitter released a photo of the boy with his dog in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert police.
