96-Year-Old Woman Reported Missing From North Austin Found Safe (Update)
Dorothy Zapalac had been seen leaving the Randall's grocery store parking lot along the 10900 block of Research Boulevard.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A missing 96-year-old woman was found safe early Thursday, police said.
Police earlier said Dorothy Zapalac, 96, was reported missing on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 11 p.m. She had last been seen leaving the Randall's grocery store parking lot along the 10900 block of Research Boulevard. She was driving southbound on Highway 183 at around 8:30 p.m., traveling in a blue 2009 RAV4 with license plate number 6GKRD.
The missing woman was traveling with a poodle. Her advanced age and medical conditions heightened the urgency in finding her, police noted. By early Thursday, police reported the woman was found safe.
