Police Seek Suspect Who Demanded Boy Get Into His Car In North Austin

There's no description of the male suspect but the vehicle should be easy to spot, painted with rainbow colors at a slight slant.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police seek a suspect accused of pulling up to a juvenile while demanding he get into his car before the boy was able to flee.

The incident dates to April 25, but police on Friday released details related to the description of the suspect's car. A description of the male suspect was not available.

On April 25, at about 6:30 p.m., police say a suspicious vehicle along the 4500 block of Cat Mountain Drive drove past a male juvenile before turning around and stopping next to him. The driver is said to have cursed at the boy and demanded his get into the car. The young man did not comply to the suspect's demands and ray away unharmed, according to police.

The vehicle should be easy to spot. It's described as a single cab pickup truck with bright rainbow-like colors on the exterior—red, yellow, orange, green, blue and purple—stretching from top to bottom at a slant, police said. The vehicle has running boards, a trailer hitch on the back, tinted window and a rear passenger tire that has a blue smudge about the size of a human hand, police added.
