Police Seek Woman Charged In Deadly North Austin Shooting

'A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Sasha Leigh Skare, police said.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Friday issued an arrest warrant for a woman in connection to a deadly shooting in North Austin that appears to have stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.

Police said the shooting occurred at an apartment along the 1003 block of Justin Lane on Nov.29, according to a wanted poster officials provided Patch. Police said Andrew Bass, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene despite medics' efforts at resuscitation.

As police responded to the scene, a second call came in related to another man in serious condition after being shot along the 6640 block of North Lamar, according to police. Police accuse the woman now being sought, Sasha Leigh Skare, 21, of trying to rob the second man at gunpoint during a drug deal. He was shot in the leg and chest as he reached for his own gun, according to the police account.

The woman has since been charged with aggravated robbery, and a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to her arrest. Police released photos of the woman in the hopes someone might recognize her and alert police as to her whereabouts.
