Cory Patton, 24, was pulled over for erratic driving before cops found 500-plus grams — 5,090 individual doses— of the drug in his backpack.

Referencing a newly released arrest affidavit, the Austin American-Statesman reported on the incident dating to Wednesday. Police pulled over a driver for an improper lane change along the 500 block of West Anderson Lane before finding the drugs, according to the report. The driver raised suspicion when he is said to have crossed several lanes of traffic, prompting other motorists to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting him on slick, rain-soaked streets.

Police pulled over Cory Patton, 24, as a result of the driving infraction, noting in an affidavit how he seemed "very nervous" to the point of shaking upon being stopped. During the course of their investigation, police found marijuana, heroin and a large bag of meth in his backpack, the latter containing 509 grams of the stuff, which police said comprised 5,090 individual doses, according to the report.
