Missing North Austin Woman Found Safe (Updated)

Bertha Mechler had last been seen along 1000 block of Floradale Drive on Monday at 2 p.m., before police announced she was found safe.

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are seeking help from the public in locating a missing 90-year-old woman from her North Austin home.

According to a police advisory, Bertha Mechler was last seen along the 1000 block of Floradale Drive on Monday at 2 p.m. She is described as being five feet, five inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a striped shirt with black, green yellow horizontal stripes and dark green baggy pants.

Mechlers's medical conditions heighten concern over her welfare, police said. Anyone seeing Mechler should call 911 immediately police added.
