SH 130 Northbound Shut Down In Pflugerville After Fatal Wreck

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A traffic fatality Thursday afternoon has prompted closure of northbound SH 130 in Pflugerville, police said.

The fatal traffic accident occurred at Pecan Street and SH 130, according to police. Just after 3:10 p.m., officials said, a vehicle traveling west on Pecan Street over the highway struck the protective barrier on the bridge, forcing ejection of the driver who then landed onto the northbound lanes of SH 130.

Pflugerville police and other emergency personnel responded before the motorist was pronounced dead at the scene by 3:34 pm.

Northbound SH-130 is shut down until further notice to accommodate a police investigation and road cleanup. Drivers normally using the route are urged to seek alternative paths in reaching their destinations.
