Slots Still Open For Pflugerville Half-Day Summer Camps

Registration still open for two August camps focused on CSI forensics and culinary arts.

Pflugerville, TX — There's still space left in half-day summer camps at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, officials said.

CSI Forensics: July 29 - August 2 (registration closes Aug. 25)

"Put on your detective hat and become a CSI investigator with this week‐long class that explores topics in forensic investigation, evidence collection and techniques, and problem solving," officials wrote on the municipal website. "Observe a crime scene, and take fingerprints and footprints. Question subjects and perform DNA and blood analysis. Through the use of science and technology, discover clues left behind that may be invisible to the naked eye. From analyzing handwriting to taking teeth molds, students will enjoy this hands‐on camp where they will develop their detective skills and help solve a mystery!"

Culinary Mischief - Pastels: August 5-9 (registration closes Aug. 1)

"Our domestic critters are up to no good in this five-day pastel workshop!" officials wrote. "We’ll use pastels to create amazing, “can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. A mouse making soup, a dog eyeing the spaghetti and silly birds on cakes are some of the mischievously-delicious drawings students will create every day. Pastels are an amazing medium, that with good direction, can make an artist out of any rookie. You won’t believe the results from this fun-for-all, skill-enhancing workshop. No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day."
