Smoke At CBS Austin/Telemundo Office Prompts Emergency Call
Firefighters arriving at 10700 Metric Blvd. newsrooms found smoke emanating from master control room due to HVAC malfunction.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Where there's smoke, there's not always fire. Emergency crews were dispatched to the CBS Austin/Telemundo news station in North Austin early Sunday after smoke was reported coming from the master control room.
When firefighters arrived at 10700 Metric Blvd., they found only light smoke emanating from the control room but no fire. It was quickly determined that the smoke was caused by a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunction.
Given the absence of any injuries resulting from the incident, Austin Fire Department officials manning their Twitter account allowed themselves a bit of humor in their dispatch: "We now rejoin our regularly scheduled program already in progress...." the account's administrator wrote.
