- If you're looking for a pet, why not look at the North Austin-Pflugerville area shelters? There are many animals there that are waiting to be adopted! "According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, over 6 million companion animals are given to adoption facilities each year nationwide, however, only around half of all these animals are adopted each year." - On Thursday, March 10 at approximately 11:03 p.m., a major crash occurred at the intersection of Burnet Road and Rutland Drive in North Austin.
