Here are the top stories today in North Austin-Pflugerville:

  1. A new downtown Austin pizza truck called Stony's Pizza is set to open up in February or March at 9521 W. Hwy. 290 in Austin! Keep an eye out for the new brick-and-mortar Austin location the next time you plan to order some pizza! (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. The cold weather is here, and weather officials issued a Winter Weather Advisory as of Thursday at 3 a.m. and ending Friday at 6 a.m. Keep an eye out for more weather information from the National Weather Service here and check the local weather forecast for the coming weekend, as reported by AccuWeather. With subfreezing temperatures, which started on Thursday and expected to continue until Friday night, it's important to take precautions to keep your home protected, and the Austin Water Department recommends several things to do during freezing weather.
