Suspect In Custody After North Austin Bank Robbery
Police found the man accused of robbing a Chase Bank branch at 13809 N. U.S. Highway 183 near the site where the incident took place.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A suspect is in custody following the city's second robbery of the year this week.
Police responded to a Chase Bank branch at 13809 N. U.S. Highway 183 off Research Boulevard on Tuesday, where a man entered a bank while demanding money before fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspect was found nearby before being arrested, Officer Destiny Silva told reporters in a subsequent briefing. No injuries were reported, and the man was found without a weapon.
