Sexual Assault Of Austin Teen Sparks Suspect Search
New physical evidence recently has emerged linking Terry McVade, 39, to the crime that occurred in December 2017.
AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in locating a "person of interest" in a 2017 case involving the sexual assault of a minor, officials said this week.
The case dates to Dec. 27, 2017 when the incident occurred at around 1 p.m. along the 6600 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard. Police accuse a man believed to be Terry McVade, 39, of forcing his way into a residence before they said a teenager was sexually assaulted.
Despite the age of the case, police said they have since been actively investigating. New physical evidence recently has emerged that links McVade to the crime, police added. Detectives believe McVade is in the Austin area, and released a photo of him in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert as to his whereabouts.
