Suspects In North Austin Firearms Dealer Robbery Sought By Police Captured (UPDATED)

Pair captured after heist of firearms at 12000 block of Roxie Drive, including theft of an MP-5 fully automatic machine gun, police said.

UPDATE: Austin police late Wednesday morning said the two suspects in a robbery of a gun store have been captured. Both suspects are teenagers, according to police. At the request of police, Patch is removing surveillance camera images initially provided by police given the suspects' status as minors.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a pair of aggravated burglary suspects accused of holding up a North Austin firearms dealer.

The business along the 12000 block of Roxie Drive was burglarized on June 12 at around 3 a.m., police said. Two suspects entered the building and stole several firearms, including an MP-5 fully automatic machine gun before they left the scene in four-door sedan, possibly silver in color, police added.

While police didn't identify the business that was hit in their news release, records show ATX Armory LLC is located at 12119 Roxie Drive. Police released still images from surveillance cameras in the hopes someone recognizes the suspects and alerts them as to their whereabouts.

The first suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 16 to 21, standing between five feet, seven inches and five feet, ten inches tall. He has curly brown hair and was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, a blue-and-white baseball batting type gloves and a black Jansport brand backpack.

The second suspect is described as either Caucasian or Hispanic of the same age range standing between five feet, six inches and and five feet, nine inches. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and a black or brown backpack.
