Suspicious Death In North Austin Investigated By Police

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigation a suspicious death in North Austin, officials said Thursday.

Just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a deceased person call along the 1700 block of East Parmer Lane, law enforcement officials said in an emailed advisory. An abandoned home on the property is a known transient camp location, the sheriff's office noted.

The sheriff's office said the circumstances behind the person's death appear suspicious given the condition of the body and the location where it was found. The sheriff's office and the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office are working together to investigate the cause and manner of death, officials said.
