Antonio Wicks, 18, was arrested on terroristic threat charge but Austin ISD police chief said more threats have been posted on social media.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — A teen was arrested after being accused with making terroristic threats against McCallum High School in North Austin, officials said Wednesday.

Antonio Wicks, 18, allegedly made serious verbal and written threats to do harm aimed at the campus, school officials said in a letter sent to families and staff on Wednesday. The threats reportedly were received the prior night, prompting school district officials to dispatch extra officers to guard the campus.

Despite the arrest, Austin ISD Police Chief Ashley Gonzalez said late Wednesday that additional threats have been posted on social media after Wicks was caught. The police chief urges anyone with information to contact investigators by calling (512) 414-1703.
