Teen Dies After Stabbing In North Austin
Carson McCullough Smith, 18, succumbed to injuries sustained after being stabbed, and police have arrested two juvenile suspects.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — Two juveniles are under arrest in connection to a double stabbing in North Austin over the weekend that left a teenager dead, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, along the 8100 block of Sonnet Avenue. Carson McCullough Smith, 18, died the following evening just before 8:30 p.m. after having been transferred to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, police said in a press advisory.
According to media reports, Smith attended Anderson High School located a mere mile from the stabbing.

After talking to witnesses, police were able to identify two suspects who went unidentified given their juvenile status, according to the advisory. One of the juveniles was arrested on Saturday morning while the second one was taken into custody early Sunday morning, police said. Both juveniles remain at Gardner-Betts Juvenile Justice Center, according to police.
