Teen Nearly Drowns At North Austin Pool
Austin-Travis County EMS crews were dispatched to Bartholomew Pool at 1800 E. 51st St. amid reports of a teenage boy who almost drowned.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Medics rushed to North Austin amid reports of a teenager who nearly drowned at a swimming pool in Northeast Austin Tuesday.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics at around 10:15 a.m. were dispatched to the Bartholomew Pool at 1800 E. 51st St. after reports of a the near-drowning of a teenage boy. According to medics, the boy didn't dive at the pool as had been believed, but instead someone had jumped on top of him.
The teen was transported to Dell Children's Medical Center with injuries not expected to be life-threatening, medics said.
