- Due to the colder weather expected through Wednesday evening in the Austin metro area, the No. 23/24 Texas softball team will be having a game time change. The mid-week match-up again North Texas will now begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Longhorn Network will broadcast the matchup live, and TexasSports.com radio will stream live through this LINK. - Former state Sen. Kirk Watson announced on Tuesday, Feb. 22 that he will be running for Mayor of Austin once again, after previously serving as Austin's mayor from 1997-2001. He said, "Austin is special, but we're facing a lot of challenges ahead. By working together, we can create transformational change that doesn't leave anyone behind." He added, "I want to ensure that our city effectively addresses the range of issues that will define our future. Austin should be thinking big. We should be setting and achieving aspirational goals.
