“Improvements to the PCDC property are needed to provide safer and easier access for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and also set the stage for a new year-round restaurant to be introduced in 2021 by Typhoon Texas,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said. “The park continues to provide jobs for young adults, recreation for the region, and generates sales tax onsite and in area retail establishments.”
According to the contract, completion of modifications will be within 150 calendar days after the first day of construction has begun. With this requirement, Madison noted that all modifications are scheduled for completion before the park opens in May 2020.
