Three Residents Displaced After North Austin Apartment Fire
Two-alarm fire broke out just off North MoPac and Far West Boulevard at the Wood Hollow Apartments, 7201 Wood Hollow Dr., just before 8 p.m.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A woman was hospitalized for smoke inhalation following an apartment fire Monday night.
The two-alarm fire broke out just off North MoPac and Far West Boulevard, according to fire officials. The blaze is said to have started at around 7:40 p.m. at the Avistar at Wood Hollow Apartments, 7201 Wood Hollow Dr. Upon their arrival, firefighters saw flames shooting through the roof of the first-floor unit.
A woman in her 60s subsequently was taken to the hospital. Fire officials attributed the fire to an improperly discarded cigarette left on the balcony. In the aftermath, the apartment was gutted by fire, four adjoining units sustained water damage and three residents were displaced according to fire officials.

Wood Hollow fire cause improperly discarded smoking material on the balcony. Damage estimate pending. Crews will remain onscene overnight as unaffected portions of building will be reoccupied.
