UT-Austin Police Receive K-9 Recruit, And She's Adorably Eager
Donor gives department the newest member of its K-9 unit to undergo painstaking, 13-month training to become a police dog.

AUSTIN, TX — This could quite possibly be the most adorable, awwwww-inducing tweet ever issued by the University of Texas at Austin police.
"Surprise!" their Twitter message starts. "It’s a girl!" The electronic missive alerts to the donation of a puppy now poised for training toward becoming a police canine. The months-long training process is quite involved, with only a few breeds adaptable to become police canines.
A picture of the German Shepherd puppy shows a palpable eagerness in becoming a K9, however, and her human trainers seem confident the girl will pass with flying colors. "She'll be ready to go in 13 months," campus police wrote. "You can bet we'll post her progress!"
